The gulf of Saint-Florent
The fertile region of the Nebbiu (or Conca d’Oru) is located in-between the Cap Corse – the peninsula at the northernmost point of the island – and the Agriates desert. Saint-Florent is the main village of the region and a popular summer vacation as its gulf is very appreciated by pleasure boats.
The gulf is situated between the Cap Corse hiking trails and a few white sand beaches, such as Lotu Beach or Saleccia, reachable by boat, taxi-boat, or by the coastal footpath.
The Cap Corse west coast, from Farinole to Centuri, is made of sand or pebble beaches. One of them, at the bottom of Nonza’s Genoese tower, is famous for its 2km long stretch of black pebbles.
